Acoustic maps

Noise map is a multi-layered graphics and descriptive assessment of the state of environmental noise for a given area. It shows the distribution of noise from various sources: roads, railway lines, tram, airport, machinery, equipment and technical installation (industrial noise map). Noise values shown on the map are the result of computer modeling, made on the basis of noise measurements at selected points. Maps are used to compile data for environmental monitoring, creating and updating programs to protect the environment against noise, and to inform the public about the danger of noise.
