Topographic database BDOT10k is a database, which collects information about topographic objects including: spatial location of objects in the current national spatial reference system, characteristics of objects, cartographic codes, metadata objects. The base consists of the following classes of objects: water network, communication network, network utilities, land cover, buildings, protected areas, territorial units other objects.Totopographic maps can be developed on the basis of data included in BDOT10. The data can also be used for the development of database of other geographic objects called BDOO.
Topographic map 1:10 000
Topographic maps are currently being developed: on the basis of data contained in BDOT10k, in the process of generalization, visualization and cartographic editing, data contained in the numerical model of terrain and the data contained in the National Register of Geographical Names. The content of the map sheet icludes: cartographic symbols representing BDOT10k objects; names, descriptions and explanations that are generated on the basis of data from BDOT10k and State Register of Geographical Names, cartographic symbols representing objects generated from the numerical model of terrain, additional geometric data, in particular the contours demarcating land cover, administrative boundaries, elements outside the original frame including: decorative frame, descriptions and maps legend.
Topographic map 1:50 000 (VMap LEVEL 2)
Vector Map Level 2 is a geospatial database of details that is appropriate for the map in the scale of 1:50 000. Objects are grouped under the following thematic categories: boundaries, topography, hydrography, industry, physiography, socio-cultural facilities, transport, land equipment land vegetation. Cartographic presentation of the data is the 1:50 000 scale topographic map that is corresponding to NATO standards.
Topographic map 1:25 000 (VMap LEVEL 3)
Vector Map Level 3 is a geospatial database of details that is appropriate for the map in the scale of 1:25 000. Objects are grouped under the following thematic categories: boundaries, topography, hydrography, industry, physiography, socio-cultural facilities, transport, equipment, land and vegetation. Cartographic presentation of the data is the 1:25 000 scale topographic map corresponding to NATO standards.
