OPEGIEKA performs 3D models of buildings with the following levels of detail mapping (LoD).
LoD1 building model is a model block, in which buildings are presented as simple blocks with generalized geometry and a flat roof. The obtaining process of three-dimensional building information is based on CityGML standard. All the details with dimensions less than 6x6m and 3m height are omitted. At this level, all buildings are derived from situational accuracy and altitude + - 5m.
LoD2 building model is a geometric model in which buildings have their texture and shapes of the roofs. The obtaining process of three-dimensional building information is based on CityGML standard. LoD2 includes buildings with generalized situational details below 4m and heights less than 2m, and the accuracy of obtaining their coordinates (X, Y, Z) is + - 2m. There is presented the structure of the roof, without including additional external building elements like chimneys or balconies. To obtain 3D information about the buildings with LOD2 it is mainly used data from laser scanning and stereo pairs of aerial and satellite images.
LoD3 building model is an architectural model in which buildings are presented with all architectural details larger than 0.5 m (doors, windows, balconies, chimneys, cornices, dormer windows) covered with high definition textures. Roofs are presented in a very realistic way. The obtaining process of three-dimensional building information is based on CityGML standard. The accuracy of obtaining the coordinates (X, Y, Z) is 0.5 m.
