On 19 January 2012, Okręgowe Przedsiębiorstwo Geodezyjno-Kartograficzne 'OPEGIEKA' Sp. z o.o. was granted an Industrial Safety Certificate (I Level), thereby confirming company's full capability to protect and secure classified information categorised as 'CONFIDENTIAL', 'NATO SECRET' and 'EU SECRET'.

The Industrial Safety Certificate certifies OPEGIEKA's full capability to protect and secure domestic and international classified information, i.e.:
•    ability to process classified information in the company's own teleinformatics systems (Certificate of Accreditation for Teleinformatics System Safety was granted),
•    ability to process classified information in the facilities of the Confidential Office, which is situated in a designated part of GIS CENTER Building in Elbląg, and in the Centre for Control of International Classified Information, which was entered on 2 January 2012 into the register of international confidential offices kept by National Authority.

The proceedings connected with industrial safety regulations were conducted by the Military Counterintelligence Service. Within the framework of the proceedings over 20 OPEGIEKA employees were granted safety certificates which entitle them to obtain access to classified information labelled as 'CONFIDENTIAL', 'NATO SECRET' and 'EU SECRET'. The Industrial Safety Certificate was granted for the period of 7 years (validity date 18 January 2019).
