Best of the Best Laurel

The residents of Warmia, Mazury and Powiśle who contributed to promote the region in Poland and abroad were awarded with those prestigious distinctions for the ninth time. The official gala was held on 25 March 2012 at Olsztyn Philharmonic Hall.

We have the honour to inform that OPEGIEKA was also distinguished in the category related to 'Socio-economic development of the region'. It was written in the award justification that the company is one of the Polish leaders in the geodesic and information technology industry. The company continuously carries out research and development works, invests in new technologies and cooperates with domestic and foreign partner. Moreover, executing their projects and conducting their business activity, the company undertakes initiatives of strategic importance for the future of the Polish economy. Furthermore, the CEO of OPEGIEKA Sp. z o.o. is additionally an active member of the Council of Information Society Issues conducted by the local government.

'Best of the Best' Gala is the occasion to honour people, companies and institutions form Warmia and Mazury which earned nationwide, European-wide and even worldwide recognition throughout the previous year – said Jacek Protas, the Marshal of Warmia-Mazury Voivodeship. – This is the way in which we appreciate initiatives of the residents of our region whose successes have a positive impact on the image of Warmia and Mazury. We live in a beautiful land, abounding with history, traditions, culture, but, first of all, abounding with valuable people.

The Press Office of the Marshal's Office and employees of all content-related departments of the Office collect all year round the information about outstanding and notable achievements of the residents of Warmia and Mazury. This year's edition of the competition was held, among others, under the patronage of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture, the Agricultural Market Agency and Warmia and Mazury Regional Development Agency.
